This article is the view of the chairholder about structural biology of RNA and protein-RNA complex after the advent of machine learning-based prediction tools. While they are working like a charm for single proteins and quite well for protein complexes, they fail for protein-RNA complexes and RNA. Currently, these predictions need to be evaluated carefully as they often are not even good enough as a research hypothesis but outright misleading. Surely, this will be improved over the coming years.
